Now this is crazy!! I saw this story on Daily News…. I know folks like me from East Africa are giggling. .

Internet speed and connectivity in Africa‘s largest economy are poor because of a bandwidth shortage. It is also expensive.

Local news agency SAPA reported the 11-month-old pigeon, Winston, took one hour and eight minutes to fly the 80 km (50 miles) from Unlimited IT’s offices near Pietermaritzburg to the coastal city of Durban with a data card was strapped to his leg.

Including downloading, the transfer took two hours, six minutes and 57 seconds — the time it took for only four percent of the data to be transferred using a Telkom line.

SAPA said Unlimited IT performed the stunt after becoming frustrated with slow internet transmission times.

The company has 11 call-centers around the country and regularly sends data to its other branches.

Telkom could not immediately be reached for comment.

Internet speed is expected to improve once a new 17,000 km underwater fiber optic cable linking southern and East Africa to other networks becomes operational before South Africa hosts the soccer World Cup next year.

Local service providers are currently negotiating deals for more bandwidth.

So my husband and i are big fans of Kanye..so he did not like that i blogged about Kanye. I understand where he is coming from, given that Kanye has probably angered a lot of people out there about his actions at the VMAs but, i had something to say as well and i said it.

My husband wants me to take that post about Kanye down. I did not call Kanye any names,  I just thought that Kanye was out of line. There are people out there that truly felt that Beyonce was more deserving of that award…I loved Beyonce’s work, by the way.. but people voted for Taylor. Personally,  I would have probably voted for Beyonce, but am happy for Taylor.

So honey, if you are reading this post… I am entitled to my own opinion, and we may disagree at times, and that being said.. it is just a blog post and am not going to take it down.

So during the awards over the weekend. Taylor Swift won an award, and this is how it went… : “Taylor, I’m really happy for you,” West said after grabbing the mic from a horrified Swift. “I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!” Then the entire audience was shocked, nervous.. Beyonce was saying ” oh my God, Oh my God” i guess not believing her eyes and ears. The audience thought at first it was a prank, but it turned out to be real..

Kanye,  Your mother would have been very dissappointed in you. Everyone deserves their moment on the spotlight. You just snatched Taylor’s…I mean, people voted for her and regardless whether you liked her work or not, you just don’t take that moment from them.  Make sure you apologize to her and her mother.

That being said, Kanye will always be Kanye. He is an entertainer… It may surprise y’all with his actions, but don’t wait for him to change anytime soon. The effects of money, popularity and power.  There.  He will definitely make more music, people will buy his music, and go to his concerts. Life goes on.

But i was impressed with Beyonce stepping up and sharing her time with Taylor. She let Taylor give her speech when she won her big award later. ..Very deserving, i have her new album on my ipod. I love it!
All in all, all this was Very embarassing, Kanye.. I know you will do it again!

She looks amazing!  She looks healthy and appears happy. I am happy for her. After so many years out of the music Biz , she is back!  I am sure you all read it everywhere about her love life with Bobby Brown, the drugs, the drama, rehab, divorce and of course now she has a new album , i look to you… . She credits her mother, Cissy Houston.. who is also a singer ,  for her comeback.  I guess mother knows best!

I would love to watch her Oprah interview. Oprah gets great interviews, so am sure this one is going to be one to watch.

So Whitney, we are glad to have you back. I know it may not be easy, but you have been blessed with a great talent. Use it to the best of your ability.. keep on singing and we will pray for you! Keep your head up.. Anything is possible. Don’t sweat all the negative comments out there, you can’t please everyone. You do you miss Houston!You do you miss Houston!

The film’s stars Mary J. Blige, Kwesi Boakye, Taraji P. Henson.. It is coming out this weekend.  I hope it hits big, let it be a blockbuster!

I love Tyler Perry’s work. I mean TP is living proof that anyone can  achieve their dreams, if you just don’t give up. This is a man that was once homeless, but look at him now… He is quite a success story.  Tyler You are an inspiration to many that admire your work.

I love his stories,  we can relate  to them, some of his stories are happening  in our lives, some  we have seen them,  or heard about from people close to us. So I pray that this man keeps on making many many movies. Hey Tyler i have all your movies, and this one if it does come out i will definitely get it. Thank you for your work! Thank you for sharing the ‘Black family romance and drama’ with the world, keep on representing,  we are behind you, supporting you..

TP.. Keep Madea alive for as long as you can!  That is one heck of a woman, just looking at her brings laughter to my belly. I love Madea with all her crazy self and her wisdom.  Imagine being in one of his movies…mmmh.. now that would be a DREAM FULFILLED for this woman here, lol.

What’s for movie night? The curious case of Benjamin Button

 Starring  Brad Pitt  as Benjamin and Cate Blanchett as Daisy.

If you haven’t watched this movie, i truly recommend it. This is what my husband and i watched for our date night this weekend. I cried like a baby.   It was a good movie, and Brad Pitt should have taken home that oscar for his work, in my opinion.  It was about a baby boy who was born with the appearance of an 85 year old man and he grows younger with age.  His mom died shortly after giving birth to him and his dad took him and  abandons him outside a nursing home porch.  

Taraji P Henson  plays queenie- and did a terrific job by the way too- worked at the nursing home , found the baby and took him in  and raised him as her own.   The use of makeup throughout this movie was amazing.  but moreso i loved the story. It was fictional, but great.

So if you like movies, this is a good one to watch. You can get it from the Red box for a $1/ night by the way Hey i like movies  and  can’t beat entertainment without breaking the bank.
