When did we all get so grown up? Where did all that time go ? Now, my other question is when did my Julian get all grown up?

I can’t find my charger for my camera, so i can upload some recent photos of my boys, but i got to tell you this past 6 months did fly by and Julian now being 4 1/2 yrs old, i am seeing a whole lot new person/personality.

He has turned out to be the most loving, sweetest, stubborn, and smartest boy i have ever known.

This is the same boy that comes from school, and the first thing he wants to do is his homework, then will call me to tell me “ I love you so much mama “ and will continue to tell me how much fun he had in school or that he got in trouble in class.

Night story time has shifted in a different level. We count how many books or stories to read. Monday he gets one story and by Sunday he is usually jumping up and down as he knows it is more stories. Oh yeah, we don’t get to read to him anymore, he does the reading and only lets you finally read to him when he is almost dozing off.

He reads pretty good, and am just amazed and thankful that he enjoys it a whole lot.

He still adores his baby brother, and doesn’t like hearing him cry. When he falls down bumps his head or something Julian is the first one to jump on to his side and give him a hug and rub his head and blow some make it better kisses, and funny it always works for little Eli.

I enjoy their bond, just seeing them wrestle it out and still manage to love each other warms up my heart.

Eli wakes up in the morning now running like someone training for a marathon,  someone who was just waiting for the new day to begin. Nowadays i get only one kiss, and it is a rushed kiss from him… He figured out how to slide off the bed on his own, so he of course rushes off to wake up his big brother, and the neighbors dogs as well. Yeah…When Eli is up, so is the neighborhood. He manages to push and slams the doors soo loud, pull out the blocks, the toy trucks, the foam letters and anything that he can get his hands on, and of course all this while he is bubbling some foreign language. I think he speaks Chagga, or maybe Sukuma, or German who knows… but we somehow manage to understand exactly what he is saying.

If you have been around a one year old, or have a one year old…then you understand. Your friends and family members can be giving you the look like what the heck is your baby saying, and you would just walk up to him and just hand him whatever he was yapping around for minutes wanting, and he just happily walks away.

Anyway…

Life has been good. There are some challenging moments, as in any given family, but for the most part there have been  more good times.

I wish you a great week, may you overcome your challenges and make way for great moments.

Always

Sophia
