oven toasted bacon salad – No dressing
Posted By Sophia on January 11, 2010
I made this salad this week
1 head of iceberg lettuce,
12 slices of bacon
1 cup of carrot chips
1 cup green peas
I baked the bacon in the oven at 350 degrees F , I got rid of the extra bacon grease and mixed the carrot chips and green peas and toasted in the oven for another 5 min, then added in my lettuce mixed it all up turned off the oven and let the heat from the pan just heat up the veggies.
I love this salad as you do not need to add any dressings, the flavor from the bacon is enough for me. Usually i would add avacado and roma tomatoes, but there was enough flavor.
Enjoy, got to go take care of Eli.

I might have to try this!
It is very easy to make and you can tweak it to your liking. Add black beans, sweet corn, cherry tomatoes or cheese etc.
Yea, I might use spinach instead of the iceberg. Btw, how do you like blogging so far?
love it! I don’t get time to post as much as i would like, but.. it is very therapeutic
