Who needs sleep?

Mommy and Eli at home

exactly. Who needs sleep while you have an ever hungry 4 month old baby around! So Eli has been up for hours, finally i have put him to bed, again, it feels like all he did the whole day is eat…If you are a breastfeeding mom you know the drill. I think he is using me as his teether, trying to nurse for comfort, i can’t blame him. I am really holding off on introducing solids till he is 6 months old. He has been reaching for everyone’s food lately. Julian thinks all that drool is so yucky, today he came running to me asking help changing his shirt because Eli spit on him,  lol. I know he is ready to try maybe rice cereal, but am holding a little longer.

I know i should sleep, but i am going to catch up on my favorite shows… I have to watch  House, lie to me, and if Eli doesn’t interrupt too much, i will watch Grey’s Anatomy. My husband has some video work to do, so no movie night for us tonight.

So hopefully, you parents out there will have a little fun of your own tonight.

Enjoy!

Happy Halloween

Print

What is halloween? Apparently it is an annual holliday celebrated October 31 where people get to dress up in all sorts of costumes, kids go trick-or-treating, others go on haunted mansions, or stay home and watch scary movies.  people carve or decorate with pumkins, and black and orange are primarily the colors associated with the celebrations. Black for the night, and orange for fire…I really don’t care much about halloween. The outfits i ever bought were mainly for Julian and it was because everyone else at his daycare was getting dressed up for their little parade. Since this year Julian is not in daycare, i chose not to buy any costumes and him and Eli will not participate in any festivities.

We didn’t buy any candy for trick-or-treaters, there are no kids on my block, plus i really don’t like giving even Julian candy.  He already have several food allergies, imagine having to go trick-or-treating and having to turn around and confisicate all that candy given to him! I know parents try to make sure that their children don’t eat all the candy till they get home and get to sort it all out, but… That is one chore i will gladly avoid.

Most candy given to kids has milk, of course lots of sugar and fat, and the no-no for us, nuts.  Let me see,  fun or crying child, and or sick child…mmmh, we will stay home and make fun of our own. We will watch some movies, Julian can have some milk and crackers, then we will save the kettle popcorn for tomorrow.

So for the families that have children with food allergies and  will trick-or-treat , please be careful, and of course make sure they don’t eat anything that can cause a reaction.

Stay safe and Happy Halloween.
