Please don’t tell me that you honestly will not care who your child bring home to you! I have heard this over and over from mothers who would say, they would support their children with whoever they choose to date or marry. It is a scary thought and yes, if you do belive in the power of prayer, pray for your children and also encourage them to pray for true love.
Yes, we are liars. Don’t tell me to talk about myself only here… You are too! One day my children will be all grown up and they will bring home ( i hope they do) someone, and i am going to play the perfect host. What does this mean? I will overlook all the bad, and just smile through the whole dinner or lunch. I will probably have my chance to say later what i think, but ultimately it would be their choice whether they will proceed with the relationship or not. I know am nowhere close to perfection, but unfortunately the motherly instinct will drive me here. I would want to know who my child would get involved in…Won’t you?
Yes, my kids may probably not be perfect either, but i am making it my goal to raise them to be respectful, treat the people in their lives well, and yes they will buy flowers, open the doors, and mind their manners as well.
I bet you there is a mother out there right now that is praying and hoping that their child’s relationship would end soon! Yep. My mom did that with my younger brother, lol… I mean you can’t go all crazy about it, unless you don’t want to have your child and grandkids in your life, and you can’t go all trying to run their lives either.
So Mothers have to lie sometime, so everyone can go to bed happy.
