One of my friend’s sister spent the weekend with us and it was nice to have her around. The boys loved her a lot. Eli had a high fever on Friday morning, lucky enough Tylenol took care of it. It was more from the vaccinations than an infection. He has been very fussy ever since though. He wakes up in the middle of the night and cry soo loud, call it bloody murder i swear. This morning he did same thing, but he has been ok for the rest of the day. I am not sure if is the teething pain, or what’s up with him. Babies. Sometimes you just don’t know.
My friend’s sister, Mary, and i went to church this morning. It was really good. I love our church – Sheffield family life Center. There is a sense of inner peace and happiness that i feel everytime after i attend Sunday service. I just made a mental note today, and a great reminder from our pastor to take our children to church. He explained even at old age, they will remember that time spent in church with their family, and eventually may go back to church themselves. We are in a generation where less and less people really put God first in their every day life, and many have other things to do on Sundays, rather than going to church.
I sometimes am guilty of missing church… i have so many excuses … Some days it is because the baby kept me up all night, but then i will turn around and go to work on weekdays… other times, the weather is bad, but i will still manage to go to work and the list is endless…excuses and excuses!!! I vow to be better though, seriously, I have to be able to set a good example for my children, so they can get to know and love God, while growing up.
The Chiefs finally won their first game, Yaaay!!! I have been a chiefs fan for a very long time, even after having their worst games, i still tune in to watch them play. Bowe plays really well, but today’s game was just not his best. Who wasn’t mad at Bowe today when that Touchdown, ended up being a miss! When every possible catch was a miss… In the end they did bring it home, so we get to let him off the hook. Go Chiefs! I bet the coach is relieved too, lol.
What a great way to start the week, thanks Chiefs! and also, About time!
