Give a break!

Print

So your kids missed their naptime or bedtime, that’s ok don’t stress yourself over it.  Mother’s give each other a break as well.. for heaven’s sake  stop giving  each other that evil look.  So, she is letting her kids eat from the back seat of the car, i mean she can’t let them  starve! So her daughter had ice cream for breakfast…that is not a reason to call her a bad mom.   The point is everyone has a story. You don’t know people’s arrangements, daily struggles and the like… People you talk to, work with, sit across in church with, standing next  to you at the check out lane. They all  have stories, some heartbreaking, some hopeless and some will make you cringe in fear. Give each other a break!

So you are driving down the street, and the light just turned red. You ignore the homeless man carrying that sighn next to your window. You are silently hoping and praying he won’t knock on the window or walk towards your car… You look at him and think to yourself, he is strong, mature, why isn’t he working? Hey what if you knew his story.. would that get you to  wind down your window and offer some change or food, or even a job?  We are in this recession, good people, educated, hardworking lost their jobs and can’t find a job. Some lost their homes, they are in shelters, or  on the streets.  There are some people out there right now that  will just work for food, do you know that… So that homeless guy at the stop light maybe just be someone’s father needing a little break.

So your friend’s child has a disability, now you finally have something to talk about. You are the first to call everyone else in town and announce this. You think she somehow was responsible for this, or you have found some kind of justification for this…Are you hearing yourself? Give her a break! If anyone should talk about her or her baby, stand up for her. Don’t make this into a never ending saga of gossip…Did you ever stop and think this to yourself, what if this had happened to you? Won’t you want the love, care and support from everyone around you?  Mind you for as long as you are a parent, you are not done yet. Your kids, grandkids will one day procreate. Do you know what  God will bless them with? That ‘s just a thought.. so If i were you, i would be a little friendlier next time. I will be more supportive and will be quick to defend, should anyone be critical of them.

So your husband has decided to take a big risk, he is hoping and praying it works out. He probably needs your support now more than ever. He wants to pitch his big idea, he decided to finally go after his dreams, heck he wants to believe it will work out. He has invested so much money and time and everyone around you think it is a joke. Would you support him or agree with them? At least he had the guts to try, then if it doesn’t work out.. he can live happy knowing he gave it his all… on the other  It may just work out and turn out to be a success story. Won’t you want to be part of it? I think people get one shot in life.  Things sometimes happen for a reason.  When one door closes another one opens.  Ok, i know it  may get worse before getting better, BUT it ALWAYS get better, eventually. So you have lost your job, maybe this is an opportunity for you to take that chance on that big idea you have always had. Hey losing your job may turn out to be the best thing that ever happenned to you. It pushes you beyond your comfort zone, it can be a good drive towards self employment, or actually going for an even different profession.

So give yourself a break, by just going for it!

The film’s stars Mary J. Blige, Kwesi Boakye, Taraji P. Henson.. It is coming out this weekend.  I hope it hits big, let it be a blockbuster!

I love Tyler Perry’s work. I mean TP is living proof that anyone can  achieve their dreams, if you just don’t give up. This is a man that was once homeless, but look at him now… He is quite a success story.  Tyler You are an inspiration to many that admire your work.

I love his stories,  we can relate  to them, some of his stories are happening  in our lives, some  we have seen them,  or heard about from people close to us. So I pray that this man keeps on making many many movies. Hey Tyler i have all your movies, and this one if it does come out i will definitely get it. Thank you for your work! Thank you for sharing the ‘Black family romance and drama’ with the world, keep on representing,  we are behind you, supporting you..

TP.. Keep Madea alive for as long as you can!  That is one heck of a woman, just looking at her brings laughter to my belly. I love Madea with all her crazy self and her wisdom.  Imagine being in one of his movies…mmmh.. now that would be a DREAM FULFILLED for this woman here, lol.

Keep on Tyler.

Here’s   the storyline:

“When Madea, America’s favorite pistol-packing grandma, catches sixteen-year-old Jennifer and her two younger brothers looting her home, she decides to take matters into her own hands and delivers the young delinquents to the only relative they have: their aunt April. A heavy-drinking nightclub singer who lives off of Raymond, her married boyfriend, April wants nothing to do with the kids. But her attitude begins to change when Sandino, a handsome Mexican immigrant looking for work, moves into April’s basement room. Making amends for his own troubled past, Sandino challenges April to open her heart. And April soon realizes she must make the biggest choice of her life: between her old ways with Raymond and the new possibilities of family, faith… and even true love.”
