Julian woke early again this morning , as usual. His day begun at 5am and he refused to take a nap. Julian and daddy went to the park this morning. Eli was taking a nap then , so i didn’t want to take him outdoors.
I haven’t been good with exercising this time around. I remember after i had Julian, i was at my pre-pregnancy weight within 6 weeks. By the time i went back to work in 8 weeks i was under my pre-pregnancy weight. That was after gaining a whopping 55 lbs with Julian. Yes, i said 55 lbs. I had an appetite, i finally had an excuse to eat all that i can, lol.. I slowed down after gaining 9lbs the week following thanksgiving. Jeez i didn’t know that could be possible but yes ap[parently, if you EAT A LOT you can.
with Eli i gained 40 lbs. I am taking my time losing it too, lol. It is almost 3 months and i still have 19 lbs to go. I am eating pretty much anything that i want. The only exercise i got earlier was walking. So far the only thing helping me out is breastfeeding. I do believe you can truly lose weight while breastfeeding. You burn extra calories. I eat small meals throughout the day. I cook all our meals and every meal is usually served with a side of veggies.
I pretty much wear what fits in my closet now. I am working my way up to getting more in. My tops i pretty much wear most of those, but with my jeans i fit what used to be large before pregnancy. Also i still wear a couple of my maternity jeans, yes… they make pretty cute maternity clothes seriously, plus they are very comfy. I know i know what you are thinking. Yes, of course am at peace with it.
This body help make this amazing gift from God, so i loove my body, every little bit of it. So i have a little gut left, hey it took 9 months to stretch it, what gave you the idea it will just bounce back like that. As for all the other parts, my husband wishes this is permanent ( we definitely don’t agree on this) .
I mean after having a baby, our bodies change. We may not even get back to same size as before. Bottom line you have to love your body, every size you are. If you have to do something to make yourself feel good , do it.
Take a bath daily, put on your make up, wear a fitting outfit, buy you something new, get your hair done, get your manicure or pedicure…i mean whatever make you feel beautiful, confident for the day …do it. I have my own insecurities, i think every woman does, but when i put on my clothes and walk out of the door. I feel beautiful and ready to face the world.
So, today..walk out feeling beautiful because you are!

It does take some time doesn’t it? My youngest will be 12 this year and I’m still carrying around about 15 lbs that I never really lost during that pregnancy. I haven’t been very motivated to lose it, but that’s changing now. I’ve started using the Wii and EA Sports Active to work out with and I’m beginning to feel better than I have in a long while.
I think you have a great attitude and I think you look great already for having just had Eli just a few months ago!

Hi Aimee,
Good for you!
Thanks for the compliment! You did say a great point…Motivation. I think for anyone to do anything life changing you got to be at a place in your life where you are ready and motivated to do it.
Let me know if that wii works, i have seen commercials for it, but don’t know anyone who actually has used it.
