I remember when i had Julian I was so confused as to what to pack, i left out things that i wish i had packed…Hey and forget about asking your husband to do it for you, or ask him to bring you clothes.. you do not want to know what he brought me. ..lol..

So are you expecting, baby coming soon and have no clue what you need to pack?.. here are some things that came in handy for me .

Toothbrush and toothpaste, your favorite soap and shampoo (though hospital provides soap),  lotion or body cream, deodorant, lipgloss , flip flops to wear in the shower, your favorite toiletries ( hospital provides)..  some sort of entertainment: Ipod/music, DVDs/Movies, magazine, a book etc., cell phone and charger,  list of numbers to call  e.g  Work contact

snacks or change for the snack machine, this will be probably for your husband.

A rob to go over the hospital gown ( when you have to walk).. some people bring their gowns, but i didn’t i figured why soil mine while the hospital was providing theirs free, and you could change them as needed.

Definitely socks to keep your feet warm- bring  2-3 pairs, sleepers/house shoes, or anything you can slip into without having to bend down … it is the last thing you would like to do after the baby.

Hair band, comfortable nursing bra or regular bra, nipple cream if you will be nursing ( my hospital gave me some),  going home outfit (keep in mind you will still look like 5 months pregnant), thank you cards for the hospital staff.

For the baby : car seat, going home outfit (with hat ), receiving blanket.

Do not bring : jewelry- they make you take that off for C-section, medications – talk to your Dr first , and breast pump — i brought mine and did not need it.

Also  bring a Camera or camcorder to capture everything.
